Breaking an apartment lease in Maryland?
I signed a year lease for an apartment in Maryland September 2007 and this month I was transferred to another office which is 54 miles. What are my options to get out of this lease to be closer my work. Wait until it is not really an option. If you know the Baltimore Washington area 54 miles can equate to a house in 2.5 hours car.
Your main option is to buy the remaining term of your lease. If you break the lease before you probably be continued. You may be able to save the expense by finding a tenant who can immediately take your place.
