The Baltimore Home Plan

What area of the city of Maryland Baltimore is a flood zone?

I plan to buy my first home in Baltimore, Maryland and I do not want to live in an area where there is a high risk of flooding. Could someone tell me what specific area I should attention?

Baltimore flood zones are located along its rivers and along its shoreline tide. (See my sources for the definitions of the legend of images) check this picture: http://www.ci.baltimore.md.us/government/planning/images/flood/fema-floodplainL.jpg

Baltimore Home Furnishing

really cold in my basement?

I live in Baltimore and temperature. here can be quite high and humidy very sticky. I saw a ranch-style basement witha furnished house, the problem is when we turn the air condition at about 71 F 'Basement is much cooler, then on the floor with all the vents closed it feels like 65 there. Is there a simple way to solve this problem or I'll have to spend lots of money? thanks

Thor is on track. There are two ways to remedy this (both are not cheap). 1. Have separate units for upstairs and installed in the basement. 2. Have zone valves installed to prevent the air from the basement floor where only the cooling needs. You must be full support on blocking registers. If you leave drop the airflow through the system too much, you could find yourself with a problem of freezing of the reel. Oh and FYI … Removing humidity more Cold. An air conditioner works by removing moisture. If you remove even more moisture, brrr … The humidity keeps the heat! Same principle as in the winter time. If you add a humidifier, you can set your thermostat at a lower temperature and still be comfortable.

Baltimore Home Foreclosure

All stories foreclosure are not the same ….. some deserve sympathy, some deserve to be in charge ….?

… You want to replenish this case? "Earlier this week, ACORN activists broke into a foreclosed home in Baltimore. With a crowd cheering and registration crew, Baltimore ACORN leader, Louis Beverly and smashed a padlock jimmied open the door to 315 South Ellwood Ave. The house belonged to the restaurant worker Donna Hanks, who attacked his evil bank to raise its mortgage of $ 300 and leave it in the street. "This is our home now," said Beverly with Hanks at his side at the break. What ACORN does not tell you: Hanks home was sold in June 2008 to 192,000 $. She bought the two-storey house in the summer of 2001 for $ 87,000. At some point during the next five years, she has refinanced the original home loan for $ 270,000. Where did all that money? (Hint:. Do ATM-home businesses) See http://michellemalkin.com/2009/02/25/no-tears-for-these-foreclosure-victims/

Before the bubble burst … I was surprised by the market being so corrupt (and the brokers and bankers who have left to do!) Everything is down to greed. People who buy goods they could not afford to own in circumstances Normal and brokers who encouraged … and credit institutions which sanctioned. So I discouraged buyers (Especially the first time) to go Weith Max bank would be ready. The bank does not care about everything you need in your life, plus a playment mortgages. ecouraged them to make a list of all the things they need and where you want them living on a monthly basis, then exit the mortgage payment for the end to see what they can really afford. This method was a genuine warning to most buyers .. not only they have basic needs, but perhaps as a vaction, new car, furniture for the new house .. but especially an emergency fund … the bank concerned not one of those things. Some listened .. some did not .. but at least I could sleep at night. The financial world has seen a generation coming up that were used to getting what they want now and has taken great advantage of it. I'm sorry to see peoples dreams killed (weather they were realistic or not) and displaced families …. but hope that the lesson was a lesson learned dangling carrot. Ah yes, Then along comes groups like "Acorn" to turn it into a political statement. Nuff said ….
